lmarville.ch is a personal, non-commercial blog run by an individual for family and friends. This policy explains what little information the site handles and why.

Who runs this site

This site is operated by an individual, referred to here as “I” or “the site owner.” You can reach me at louis.marville@gmail.com.

What information is collected

This site does not require visitors to create an account or log in. Depending on how you interact with the site, the following may be collected:

• Information you submit directly — for example, your name, email address, and message if you use a contact form.
• Basic technical logs — standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) kept temporarily for security and troubleshooting purposes, as is standard for any website.

This site does not use advertising cookies, does not sell data, and does not run analytics or tracking scripts beyond what is described above.

Use of Google services (OAuth)

This site uses Google Sign-In / Google API access (OAuth) solely so that the site owner can send emails on the site’s behalf — for example, to deliver a message submitted through a contact form. This access is used only for that purpose.

In line with Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:

• Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to send the emails described above, and for no other purpose.
• This data is not used for advertising or marketing.
• This data is not sold, transferred, or shared with any third party, except where necessary to provide the site’s core functionality, comply with the law, or protect against fraud or security threats.
• No human reads this data except with your consent, to investigate a reported problem, or where required by law.

How information is used

Any information you submit is used only to respond to you or to operate the site (for example, publishing a comment you chose to post). It is not used for advertising and is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Messages and contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to you or to maintain the site. Server logs are rotated and deleted automatically after a limited period.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to see, correct, or delete any personal information I hold about you by contacting louis.marville@gmail.com.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated occasionally, for example if the site starts using a new service. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes.
